Combo Doubles League

The SOUTHERN COMBO DOUBLES LEAGUE is one of the fastest growing adult programs in the USTA's Southern Section. This program features Men's and Women's teams playing 3 doubles matches. The doubles teams use a combined NTRP rating that does not exceed the level on which they are playing. The unique format is what makes the COMBO DOUBLES league so fun! It also offers the chance to play with different people and to make new friends.

To participate:

Must be at least 19 years of age; 50 and older for the senior division
Current USTA membership
Have an NTRP computer rating or must self-rate themselves according to the NTRP guidelines

Levels of Play:

Adult Division: 5.0 to 10.5
Senior Division: 5.5 to 8.5

Season: Begins August 12 and ends November 1

Registration: mid July to early August

State Championship: November 6-9 in Winston-Salem, NC.

Sectional Championship: January 25-28 in Baton Rouge, LA

Fall 2008 Information

COMBO DOUBLES is a league consisting of teams of men or women with combined ratings. A 7.5 team could have a 3.5 and 4.0 player together as a doubles team or two 3.5 players. Each match is three doubles courts. The winning team on each level will advance to the state championships. Teams may have up to 14 players on the roster. Registration and score entry is done on Tennislink.

ADULT – 5.0,5.5,6.5,7.5,8.5,9.5,10.5 SENIOR – 6.5,7.5,8.5,9.5

***ADULT AND SENIOR TEAMS – UP TO 14 PLAYERS

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

USTA membership good through November, 2008 and a current computer rating or players may self-rate when they register on Tennislink.

WHEN IS PLAY?

The league will start as early as August 12^th and end no later than November 1, 2008.

FEES

REGISTRATION FEE - $18 FEE PER PERSON PAID ON TENNISLINK, AND USTA MEMBERSHIP. CITY TEAMS WILL ALSO HAVE COURT FEES OF $12 PER HOME MATCH.
