Terms and Conditions of Use
Please note that there is a 48 hour cancellation policy.  Any changes to a Booking Agreement must be made at least 48 hours prior to the first date and time listed. Courts should be left in at least the same condition in which they are found.  Please be aware that the court numbers listed on your contract only reflect the number of courts that are reserved on any given date/time and may be changed. Please check the posted schedule online prior to your arrival to verify which court(s) you have been assigned.  In the event of rain, please notify the facility booking team at 919-872-4128 or to have credit returned to the account for any unusable time and to schedule rain makeup matches if necessary.

Push Button
Lights do not come on unless a participant activates the lights. The lights stay on for approximately one (1) hour. At that time a buzzer sounds and the participant must push the button again for the lights to stay on. The lights go out automatically if the button is not pushed. (At some sites the system is set so that only 2 or 4 courts are activated at a time). If the lights go out, it will take 15 minutes to restart.

The lights are controlled by a timer that turns the lights on between dusk and 10pm.

The City of Raleigh offers 24 court locations with 110 courts, 106 with lights, and 14 locations with backboards.  


           Please note that reservations carry a fee of $5 per hour per court.

Players may reserve a city tennis court for $4 an hour ($5 per hour as of 7/01/18). Court reservation requests may be made online, by calling Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center at 919-872-4128 or by making a reservation in person at the Tennis Center. Reservations may be made up to seven days in advance.

48 hour advance booking is required for non-Millbrook sites.  The minimum reservation for non-Millbrook sites must be at least 1 1/2 hours long.  Paid reservation requests received by 3 pm will be posted online by 6 pm on the day on which the request is confirmed.

Please note: Requests received after 3 pm on Friday will be processed the following Monday unless that Monday is a holiday.

Players may reserve a Millbrook court by calling or visiting Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center Monday through Sunday during regular business hours, which are:

  • Spring/Summer/Fall:  Mon - Fri  8:30 am - 9:30 pm
  • Spring/Summer/Fall:  Sat - Sun  8:30 am - 4 pm
  • Winter:  Mon - Fri  9 am - 6 pm
  • Winter:  Sat - Sun  10 am - 4 pm

When the Tennis Center building is not open, courts are available on a first come first served basis until the lights go out at 10:30 pm each night.

There is a fifteen-minute grace period for players having a reservation. If players have not arrived by then, court will be assigned to players on the waiting list and a No-Show will be applied to the player's account with the reservation.

Players are requested to call the Center and cancel their reservation if necessary to do so. A no-show will be earned if reservation is not cancelled.  Refunds or partial refunds will not be given for unused court time unless weather related.
