What are my certifications: I am a licensed Cardio Tennis Professional
In what areas do I have teaching experience: I teach all areas: children, adults, privates, groups, teams, cardio, parties, and Junior Team
Areas of specialty: My specialties are beginners, and team clinics. I am also the Director of Tournaments for Raleigh Tennis Association, so I enjoy putting together tournaments for both juniors and adults
Outside of tennis, what do you enjoy? I do still play competitive tennis...so when I am not teaching or playing tennis, I like to travel with family and friends. And I guess because of my competitive nature, I enjoy game night with my friends. And I always love a good movie (I try to see one movie a week...and not every one is 'good')

Assistant Tennis Professional
Mike was originally from Albany, NY but moved to Raleigh over 4 years ago with the birth of his first grandchild.
He originally played on the Eastern Circuit which consisted primarily of grass court tournaments along the East Coast. After his playing days Mike became a teaching pro and worked in several clubs. He was the head pro at the Fairwood Racquet Club, the Director of Tennis at Capitaland Tennis Club, and managed the Southwood Tennis Club. He even squeezed in one summer at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch in Stratton Mountain Vermont.
Eventually Mike became the head coach for the men's team at Siena College, a D1 program. Siena is Mike's alma mater.
Mike joined us almost three years ago as a JTT Coach and now is the assistant pro here at Millbrook. It's a position he loves and all you have to do is hear him on the courts to know that certainty.

Outside of tennis, what do you enjoy?
When I’m not on the court, I enjoy watching whatever sport is in season. I enjoy cooking and spending time outside whether it is hiking, running or even just relaxing by the pool. That being said, I usually need to be moving no matter what I’m doing! Most of my free time is spent having fun with my friends and family.
