The Raleigh Tennis Association (RTA) is a non-profit organization designed to promote tennis activities in the Raleigh area.

The RTA organizes USTA League play for juniors, adults and seniors. There is competitive tennis available for all ages and abilities. In addition, we offer information for beginning developmental programs of various kinds to both juniors and adults.

We hope you find our website useful in your quest for information about Raleigh area tennis.  Thank you for your support as we work towards growing the game in our community.  We welcome any feedback or questions you may have.

2010 North Carolina Super Senior Combo State Championships

Capital_Mens_6.5_fsCongratulations to the 2010 North Carolina Super Senior Combo State Champions, captained by Robert Barnes! Despite the downpour on Saturday, champions were crowned and will be heading onto the Sectional Championship in Mobile, AL (early 2011).

North Carolina USTA Jr. Team Tennis State Championships

North Carolina’s best junior tennis teams came in from around the state to compete in the 2010 North Carolina USTA Jr. Team Tennis State Championships, held at Cary Tennis Park. Play began on the afternoon of Friday, July 16th and ran through Sunday afternoon.

2010 North Carolina USTA League Adult State Championships

W3.0-Capital_fsThe best of North Carolina’s adult tennis teams were crowned state champions in Pinehurst as part of the 2010 North Carolina USTA League Adult State Championships. Play began bright and early on Thursday morning and continued until the last match was decided on Sunday afternoon.  W3.5-Capital_fsTwo of our Raleigh teams earned state championship crowns and were granted passage on to the USTA Southern Sectional Championships to be held in Birmingham, Alabama July 24-August 1. Winners in Birmingham will then advance to National Championships later this year. And the winners are…

Raleigh Pro League

The Raleigh Pro League hits the courts this June with what's sure one of the highlights of the summer!  Teams will be made up of club News2professionals and 5.0 & above players competing in an exciting format featuring men's, women's and mixed doubles.

Kid's Day Sponsor

The Raleigh Tennis Association is proud to be one of the sponsors of the "Kid's Day" event held at North Hills Club.  This was in conjunction with the RBC Bank Women's Challenger Tennis Tournament. Approximately 100 kids from the Boy's and Girl's Club were treated to a clinic, lunch and gifts (from Prince) a racquet, balls, and prize plus (from RBC) a bag with a calculator. Thanks to those sponsors, North Hills Club Director of Tennis - Shane Wells, his staff and all the volunteers for their generous donation of time and support!
