USTA League Mixed Doubles is a team competition for men and women with NTRP levels of 2.5 to 5.5. Winning local teams advance to the NC State Championship. Winners of the NC State Championship advance to the Sectional Championships. Teams are formed using combined NTRP levels of 5.0, 6.0, 7.0,8.0, 9.0 and 10.0.

  • The 2018 Mixed Doubles season will begin as early as May 27th.  All players must be current members of the USTA through August, 2018.
  • The format of play is three individual mixed doubles matches per team. Each individual team can be no greater than one rating point  apart. For example, a 4.0 and a 5.0 or two 4.5s may play as a team on the 9.0 level. A 3.5 and a 5.5 would not be a legal team.
  • Play is best 2 out of 3 sets with a Match Tiebreak played instead of the third set. The Coman tiebreak method should be used.
  • Fees are $22 per player paid on Tennislink. City teams will pay court fees of $24 per home match.
  • The maximum number of players on each team is 15.

** Please note: If your match is on a Meredith College court, alcohol is NOT allowed on the campus
