Try Tennis sponsorship

Swing Racquet + Paddle sponsors Try Tennis Community Outreach Program

August 11, 2020

The Raleigh Tennis Association is excited to announce Swing Racquet + Paddle’s sponsorship of our Try Tennis Community Outreach Program. Swing’s contribution will provide twenty-five Try Tennis Toolkits — bringing the total to fifty toolkits with RTA’s matching donation — to families in diverse, underserved communities as well as to programs that serve those families. Each Family Try Tennis Toolkit includes:

  • 10" Pop Up Net

  • 2 Adult 27" Racquets

  • 2 Junior 23" Racquets

  • 3 Pack of Red Tennis Balls

  • Pocket Score Card

  • Links to Online Tips, Games, and Other Resources

“We owe so much gratitude to Swing Racquet + Paddle for their generous sponsorship of the Try Tennis Community Outreach Program,” Julie Dick, Executive Director of RTA commented. “Because of their donation, deserving families and community-based programs in diverse, underserved communities will now receive fifty Try Tennis Toolkits.”

To identify recipients of the toolkits, the RTA Serves Committee is collaborating with, but not limited to, Communities In School, Raleigh Housing, and Boys and Girls Clubs. RTA and Swing will distribute the kits throughout September.

“Swing Racquet + Paddle is thrilled to sponsor the RTA’s Try Tennis Community Outreach Program. We know the value of tennis — from the incredible health benefits to being one of the safest sports to play during a pandemic. It is important to us, as a member of this community, to give back. By providing families in need with the gift of tennis, we hope we can bring a little joy into someone’s life that could turn into a lifetime of fun” says Rob Autry, Founder and CEO of Swing Racquet + Paddle, avid tennis player, and active supporter of the Raleigh community.

Swing Racquet + Paddle, located in the heart of the Triangle, will feature tennis, pickleball, padel, beach tennis, and table tennis on a 45-acre campus, bringing the community together around a shared passion for racquet + paddle sports. Opening in 2022, Swing will offer both indoor and covered courts as well as fitness facilities coupled with onsite physical therapy, sports medicine, and sports science, connecting-the-dots between sport, health, and innovation.
