USTA Mixed Doubles League - Capital Area 2023
2023 USTA League Mixed Doubles is a team competition for men and women with NTRP levels of 2.5 to 5.5. Winning local teams advance to the NC State Championship. Winners of the NC State Championship advance to the Sectional Championships. Teams are formed using combined NTRP levels of 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0, and 10.0.
1. The 2023 Mixed Doubles season may begin as early as May 22.
2. The format of play is three individual mixed doubles matches per team. Each individual team can be no greater than one rating point apart. For example, a 4.0 and a 5.0 or two 4.5s may play as a team on the 9.0 level. A 3.5 and a 5.5 would not be a legal team.
3. Fees are $25 per player paid on TennisLink. City teams will pay court fees of $30 per home match.
4. The maximum number of players on each team is 15.

March 27 - Registration will begin on TennisLink
April 21 - Deadline to submit Team Information Form to the LLC
April 22 - Team registration deadline
April 24 - Six players must be registered on TennisLink
May 22 - Play may begin
Sept 7-10 - Mixed State Tournament - Asheville

Format
The format of play is three individual mixed doubles matches per team. Play is best two out of three sets with a match tiebreak played instead of the third set. The Coman tiebreak method should be used.
Age Groups Offered
All players must be at least 18 to play in an adult league. A player may play in multiple age groups as long as he or she will turn the minimum age during the calendar year.

League Fees
All players participating in USTA Leagues are required to join the USTA. Click here for more information about USTA League and about NTRP ratings. A league fee of $25 also applies, which includes a $3.15 TennisLink fee. City teams will have court fees of $30 per home match.
If you are registering as a club team, it is your responsibility to notify your club pro that you plan to have a team prior to registering on TennisLink. This will ensure that your club can guarantee home courts for your matches.

Morning weekend matches offered subject to court availability; some matches may play at 11 AM if needed.
