Y'all League Coordinator

The Y'all League is a social league for young professionals who play tennis in the Raleigh area.

 

The Ya'll league is looking for a new coordinator to manage the program. As a coordinator you will get paid per player that signs up for the league and will be able to participate in the league as well. It is a great way to meet new people, add something to your resume and play tennis!

Requirements:

  • USTA rating of 4.0 or higher

  • Outgoing personality

  • Willingness and excitement to meet new people

  • Recruiting skills

  • Excellent organization

  • Public speaking skills

  • Oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to lead a group

  • Passionate about tennis

  • Attend required RTA team meetings where you are available

Part-time Tennis Instructors

RDUTennis is hiring part-time instructors (3-10 hours/week)for the 2021 summer season for several Raleigh locations. 

 

Applicants do not need to be certified but must be at an NTRP playing level of 3.5 or higher, have tremendous patience with students, love tennis, and know how to make the classes fun. Come share your love of tennis and make some money too!

Successful candidates will be highly proficient tennis players who effectively communicate with groups of juniors or adults. Candidates must be available to teach group lessons 20 hours per week: Mon-Thur 4-8pm and Saturday 9-1pm from May 4, 2021 – November 21, 2021. There is also the opportunity for additional hours teaching private lessons. Prior teaching experience is a plus.

This position requires an extensive amount of training, including Safety, First Aid/CPR, and Fire Safety, which will be provided.

Tennis Coach
The tennis season runs from March 15- May 14. 

Practices are held at Williams Park tennis courts, located at 1525 Lynn Road.
Practice days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  No Friday practices. 

Practice times are 3:00-4:00 and 4:00-5:15
No practice sessions from March 29-April 9 for spring break.
Students are in 3 cohorts - 2 groups of 4th-6th graders and 1 group of 7th/8th graders. Groups of students are limited to 10.
Coaching stipend is $1250 for the two-month period.

  • Description: The nationally accredited Town of Cary Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department is looking for a Tennis Professional to work at the Cary Tennis Park assisting tennis professionals and full-time tennis staff in routine management of programs including camps, clinics, tournaments and special events. Ideal candidate will be comfortable teaching beginners, intermediates, and advanced players, both juniors and adults. Should be USPTA or USPTR certified, as well as having at least 3 years of teaching experience.
